NPDESTracker

Founder Pilot

Test NPDESTracker on a real slice of your stormwater program.

The Founder Pilot is a 90-day evaluation for small and mid-sized Phase II MS4 programs. It costs $2,500 flat and gives your team a focused way to test inspections, GIS, evidence, tasks, and reporting support before committing to an annual plan.

$2,500 flat, 90 days. Founder-led. The only pilot we offer right now.

01 · What the pilot includes

A focused 90 days, founder-led.

The pilot is intentionally simple. You get a real workspace, founder-led setup, and enough hand-holding to make a real decision at the end of 90 days. It is not a long sales process or a multi-month enterprise rollout. Your team uses the product, we answer questions over email, and at day 90 you decide what makes sense.

In the pilot

  • 90-day pilot workspace
  • Founder-led setup
  • Email-first support during business hours
  • Sample or limited real program setup
  • Import help for starter site and outfall lists
  • Review of what worked before annual conversion
  • Clean export if the city does not continue

02 · What we need from your team

A small bundle of program materials gets us moving.

Nothing exotic. The point of this list is to skip the back-and-forth and get your workspace looking like your program from week one. If you do not have a piece, that is fine. We can start with what exists.

From your team

  • Primary contact
  • Permit type or state program
  • Site or outfall spreadsheet if available
  • Current inspection form or checklist
  • A few example records or SOPs
  • List of users who should test the workspace
  • Any custom workflow materials if a custom module is being discussed

03 · What the pilot is not

Worth naming out loud.

A few things the pilot is not, said plainly so there are no surprises on either side.

  • Not unlimited custom development
  • Not 24/7 support
  • Not a promise of guaranteed compliance
  • Not agency submission
  • Not legal or regulatory advice
  • Not a replacement for staff review

04 · What happens after 90 days

A clean decision point.

At day 90 you have a real read on whether NPDESTracker fits your program. Four ways forward, and the choice is yours.

Starter

Continue on Starter

$4,900 / year

For inspection-only teams. Inspections, GIS, assets, corrective actions, attachments, and exports in one workspace.

Full MS4 Platform

Continue on Full MS4 Platform

$8,500 / year

The lead product for small and mid-sized Phase II MS4 programs. Inspections, IDDE, GIS, evidence, tasks, public education, public participation, and annual reporting support.

Full + Custom Module

Continue on Full + Custom Module

$12,000 / year

Everything in Full MS4 Platform, plus one scoped custom module built around your program materials.

Walk away

Walk away with a clean export

No annual commitment

If the workspace is not the right fit, you leave with a clean export of what you logged during the pilot. No retention claim, no lock-in.

Larger City and Multi-Department deployments are custom-quoted and usually start around $15,000 a year. See the pricing page for the full posture.

05 · Custom modules during a pilot

Scoped before work starts.

Custom modules are possible when the city provides forms, SOPs, field lists, examples, PDFs, and program materials. They are scoped before work starts. NPDESTracker does not promise unlimited customization or instant custom work.

If a custom module is on the table during a pilot, the pilot conversation includes a short scoping discussion: what the module needs to do, what materials your team can hand over, and what a fair build looks like. Anything that turns into a custom module is captured in writing before anyone starts building.

Scope

Keeping the pilot simple.

The Founder Pilot is intentionally narrow so small MS4 programs can test the product without a long enterprise sales process. It includes one focused setup path, email-first support, and a clean decision point at 90 days. Custom modules, major historical data cleanup, and substantial contract redlines are scoped separately.

Founder Pilot pricing assumes NPDESTracker's standard pilot agreement, a focused setup, email-first support, and a limited evaluation scope. If a city needs substantial custom contracting, custom module development, large historical data cleanup, or complex procurement requirements, we may scope that separately or move directly to an annual plan.

06 · Simple pilot timeline

Twelve weeks, four phases.

A rough shape, not a rigid schedule. We move at your pace.

  1. Week 1

    Setup and imports

Founder-led setup, pilot workspace configured to your permit, and import help for the lists you have on hand.

  2. Weeks 2 to 6

    Team testing and feedback

Your team logs real or sample records. We answer questions over email and adjust the configuration as you go.

  3. Weeks 7 to 10

    Workflow cleanup and review

We review what worked, tighten the configuration, and resolve any field-form or import issues before the decision point.

  4. Weeks 11 to 12

    Decision point and annual quote

Continue on Starter, Full MS4 Platform, or Full + Custom Module with a written quote. Or walk away with a clean export.

Pilot agreements are issued by Wood Technologies LLC. NPDESTracker is the product name.
