A short orientation to NPDESTracker: what the product is, what you can try without talking to anyone, and how to choose a plan.

What NPDESTracker is

NPDESTracker is browser-based MS4 compliance software for municipal stormwater programs. One workspace covers sites and contacts, inspections, follow-up tasks, IDDE (illicit discharge) intake and the six-stage IDDE workflow, notices and replies, GIS and assets, public education and participation, behavior change campaign tracking, MS4 Metrics supervisor snapshots, an executive readiness dashboard, the audit log workspace, and evidence-linked annual reporting. Modules are configurable per tenant.

The public sample workspace

The public sample workspace runs on a fictional Phase II program. No signup, no call, browse-only. You can open the daily overview, walk the main MS4 modules in navigation, and see how records relate to each other. Saves are disabled on the public sample, so no real city's records are exposed.

The guided walkthrough

A guided walkthrough covers what the public sample workspace cannot, including full inspection creation, printable notice letters, emailed notices with replies logged on the inspection record, weather-assisted inspection fields, yearly inspector assignments, behavior change campaign tracking, reporting evidence, imports, exports, setup, and admin workflows. Choosing a plan

Six paid plans plus the free demo are listed on /pricing. A short summary:

  • Free Demo ($0). The public sample workspace, browse-only.
  • Guided 60-day Evaluation ($999, 60 days, up to 3 users). Short evaluation on your own permit and a slice of your data, with one onboarding call.
  • Guided Evaluation Workspace ($2,500, 90 days, up to 8 users). A larger 90-day evaluation that configures more of the platform around your program. Introductory pricing while early municipalities onboard. The fee can be credited toward an annual plan if your municipality continues within 60 days.
  • Annual plans. Small MS4 Essentials ($1,499/year, up to 2 users), Inspection Starter ($3,499/year, up to 5 users), Inspection Team ($9,499/year, larger team workspace), Full MS4 Platform (from $18,000/year).
